Starlink Installation - How It Works

After we receive your message we will reach back out and coordinate a site walk at your install location. Don't worry we reach out almost immediately. TCNT prides itself on quick turnarounds and timely quotes. 

After our team reviews your install we will follow up with a free quote no later than two days after visiting your install location.   

Once you receive your quote you simply sign it and send it back to us via email or regular mail. Once we have it we will coordinate an install date.

Tri-County Network Technologies team of Starlink professionals will arrive on time, dressed to impress, and work under strict professional standards. We want 100% satisfaction from our clients so we aim to please. Most installs are completed in under four hours and you're off and running with a high speed connection. We even assist you with connecting your devices like smartphones, smart TV's, media devices, PCs and laptops. We configure the whole system, provide a quick training on how to use the system, and provide instructions on what to do if you have questions or a problem. 

1. How much does an install cost for residential?

Answer: In most cases a non complex residential home can be installed for $500 USD. Complexity of the of the install can increase this price but this is due to special cases and obstruction issues we encounter. 

2. How much does a commercial install cost?

Answer: Commercial installs can be done around the $750-$1000 USD price range. Commercial structures vary and the install complexity may increase the price to cover conduit, trenching, and lift cost. 

3. How well does Starlink work?

Answer: Our customers have spoken and the answer is "It's amazing!"  Video calls, gaming, and high speed internet all perform exceptionally well. 

4. What do I do If I have a problem with my Starlink?

Answer: Call us directly and we will troubleshoot the system with you. If we are unable to resolve the issue we contact Starlink support on your behalf and work with their experts to replace hardware or restore connectivity. The first call is free . After that we provide a fee for troubleshooting and site visits. 

5. What are obstructions and do I have any at my location? 

Answer: Obstructions are typically tall trees and structural parts of you home. Obstructions can cause your Starlink not to work at all or perform not optimally. This is because they block the signal from the satellites. We evaluate each location with survey software that shows us where the obstruction is. If you have an obstruction we will let you know where and what it is and if Starlink will work in that location. 

6. What can I do if I have an obstructruction?

Answer: We have many options to mitigate obstructions including trenching/conduit, extended cables, point to point antennas, and even tree service to remove tall trees. 

7. What If I'm uncomfortable ordering mounts and hardware from Starlink?

Answer: We've got you covered! We provide turnkey installations where we provide the Starlink hardware, mounts, and cables. You simply pay for your service each month and the install cost we charge which includes labor and materials. 

8. How much does the Starlink residential service cost?

Answer: Starlink has a variety of options including data plans and unlimited. We can help you determine that if you are unsure. Typically most Starlink customers in residential pay $120.00 USD per month for unlimited data.

9. Is Starlink a great option vs terrestrial internet?

Answer:  It is if you live in a rural area. If you live in a suburban area Starlink might not be the best option. This is because they limit bandwidth because better internet service provider options like fiber and high speed internet are already available in those market areas.
